Outfit Moray is a WorkSafe Approved Training Centre and offer First Aid courses at a number of different levels with:

  • Multimedia Presentations to convey essential information.
  • Hands on practice in small groups monitored by the instructor.
  • Continual positive encouragement from approved instructors.
  • A full colour student manual to use during the course and keep as a future reference on first aid.
  • Up-to-date information presented in a relaxed learning environment.
  • Course evaluation and the opportunity to register online with WorkSafe to activate automatic qualification expiry reminders.
  • A credit-card-sized qualification card on completion, and a full colour A4 certificate awarded by WorkSafe Training Systems.

Basic Life Support

Time Frame: 1/2 day (3 hours)

Details:

This course meets the Learning Outcomes of the UK Resuscitation Council for CPR and introduces additional life saving skills. It is an excellent syllabus to teach members of the public and community who would benefit from knowing basic life saving skills. This programme meets with the minimum training recommendations of an ‘Appointed Person’ in the workplace as detailed by the HSE.

Automated External Defibrillator

Time Frame: 1/2 day (4 hours)

Details:

This programme meets the requirements of the UK Resuscitation Council for First Responder Defibrillation, and provides hands on experience and training for the safe and effective use of any portable defibrillator and will ensure you have the peace of mind that should the need arise you can safely use an Automated External Defibrillator.

Emergency First Aid At Work

Time Frame: 1 day (6 hours)

Details:

This programme consists of training in Emergency First Aid Procedures designed to give the student a basic knowledge for providing first aid within the workplace. The course follows the syllabus set by the Health & Safety Executive and is delivered in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L74 for training of candidates in first aid for low risk environments.

Emergency First Aid For Schools

Time Frame: 1 day (7 hours)

Details:

This programme has been adapted from the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work course to meet the needs of people who work within a school. The syllabus includes all content from Emergency First Aid at Work course and includes additional subjects likely to be faced by first aiders working within a school, including asthma, allergic reaction and resuscitation and choking for children.

Outdoor First Aid - Basic

Time Frame: 1 day (8 hours)

Details:

Leading groups of people in remote areas, or participating in any outdoor activities can bring with it unknown hazards. Common injuries sustained in the outdoors range from simple cuts and grazes to broken limbs, head and back injuries and hypothermia. Being prepared to deal with any emergency should always form part of your emergency plan and be prepared to deal effectively.

Paediatric And Early Years First Aid

Time Frame: 2 days (12 hours)

Details:

Designed to meet with the requirements of OFSTED for Early Years First Aid Provision, this course is perfect for people who work with, or intend to work with young children and meets with the recommendations of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 issued by the Health & Safety Executive for the ‘Appointed Person’. Students will learn the symptoms of common childhood complaints and illnesses and appropriate care.

First Aid At Work

Time Frame: 3 days (18 hours)

Details:

Following the Health & Safety Executive syllabus, this three day course meets the current Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is delivered in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L74 for qualifying First Aid personnel in the workplace. The course will provide students with in-depth information and skills on how to provide effective treatment and care.
