Outfit Moray FAQs
General Outfit Moray & Bike Revolution FAQ
Where are you based? Outfit Moray is on Shore Street, Lossiemouth, IV31 6PB and we’re open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Fridays (inc Bank Holidays).
Where can I book an activity? All our activities are listed on our website. If they are fully booked, there is an option to join the waiting list and an email will be sent if a place becomes available.
Is there a minimum age? All our activities are for young people aged 8 to 18.
Do you only do activities in the school holidays? During term time, we are working with schools and youth groups, so most of our open activities happen during school holidays, in-service days and, sometimes, at weekends. To make sure you don’t miss out on our activities, please join our mailing list.
Do you sell/repair bikes or take bike donations? Yes, please contact Bike Revolution during opening hours on 01343 549571 #2 regarding sales or repairs. For bike donations, please find further information, plus a collection form if required, here.
What if the weather is bad? The weather rarely stops play but, if we have to cancel the activity due to weather, or for any other reason, you will be contacted DIRECTLY via the contact information on your order, but please be aware that this decision is sometimes not made until the day of the event, as forecasts can be wrong!
Do they need to bring anything? We provide all technical equipment, including bikes, wetsuits etc. Participants need to bring lunch (full day activities), snacks and a full water bottle. They should be appropriately dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy footwear (trainers etc)
Is there transport? Unless otherwise stated, participants will meet at Outfit Moray and will be transported to the activity venue. Please note, these vary due to conditions, weather and availability, so we cannot always tell you where it will be.
Can I change my booking? Yes, but if you need to cancel or amend your order, please make sure you are aware of our Terms and Conditions with regards to refunds and admin fees. Whilst we appreciate mistakes can happen when booking, we are a very small charity with limited admin time and our T&C’s are there to protect our funds so we can continue supporting young people in Moray.
Do you teach young people/adults to ride a bike? Yes, our 45 mins 1-to-1 sessions for children or adults usually happen during the school holidays and can be found on our events website. If we have specific funding for adult cycling, these will also be listed on our events website. If you would like to be notified when any of these sessions are live, please join our mailing list.
Can adults join in? Unless the activity specifically states it is a family activity, then it is for young people aged 8 to 18 only. Families can be anyone from parents/guardians to aunties, uncles, grandparents or a family friend. However, we can provide adult only activities, and bespoke family adventures.
My child has additional support needs, can they still come? Yes, we have years of experience dealing with young people with additional support needs and there is the opportunity to provide any additional information during booking.
Can I come and watch? We understand your young person may be anxious or nervous, or may have behavioural issues, but please be assured that this is very common and our instructors are very experienced in dealing with these situations. We actively encourage adults NOT to come along and watch as this can distract the young person (and the group). It is our experience that these young people tend to be more relaxed and engage more with the activity if they don’t have an adult watching them, plus most of our activities take part in inaccessible areas.
Where can I see the photos? It is not always possible to take photos, but if we do take any, they will be posted on our Outfit Moray Facebook page (or Bike Revolution for cycling activties) in due course (assuming photo permissions are granted). We aren’t able to send any individually, but you don’t need to have a Facebook account to see our photos, so you will be able to easily save them from there.
Can I book a private activity? Yes, please visit our adventure days page for prices and an enquiry form.
How can I help raise funds for Outfit Moray? Thank you for asking! All our activities for young people are heavily subsidised and require a lot of fundraising to keep them at this price, so please do have a look at our website (opens in a new window) to see how you can help us continue providing affordable outdoor learning and adventure opportunities for young people in Moray.
