Volunteering: Fundraising

Outfit Moray are always looking for volunteer fundraisers to help sell raffle tickets, put out posters and man stalls at events (particularly during the summer months) as well as helping to manage our various collection tins out in the Moray communities.

Volunteer fundraisers will work alongside our Community and Corporate Fundraiser to help increase our fundraising income by inspiring new supporters; as well as organising traditional events, manning stalls and developing new fundraising activities, and generally helping raise awareness and the profile of the charity.

You could be doing something as simple as holding a bucket collection or organising an event in your local community and we are fully flexible on the number of hours you volunteer per month – just let us know what you can do and when.

If you would like to get involved as a volunteer for Cairngorm to Coast, please fill out this form.

What skills do I need?

Fundraising doesn’t require any qualifications, the following skills would be helpful:

    • A passion and understanding of the work we do
    • A good sense of humour (especially for rainy day events)
    • Good communication skills
    • Event planning and/or organisation skills
    • Team work skills
    • Leadership skills
    • A driving licence would  be a bonus

Essential criteria: Must be over 14 or accompanied by an adult.

What training and support will I get?

Most fundraising activities require little training and are mainly about common sense and having a zest for the task at hand.  However, if there are elements that require training, it will either be given in advance on ‘on the job’.  Volunteer fundraising is a great way to gain valuable life skills, such as good communication and is a great addition to a CV or personal statement. To find out more, please get in touch with Karen, our Community and Corporate Fundraiser and she will be more than happy to have a chat with you.
