Checkpoint Marshal
Checkpoint marshals are by far the largest number of volunteers we need and are responsible for manning a specific checkpoint and keeping track of the participantsā progress along the route.

First Aider (18+)
Our mobile first aiders provide medical cover along the route and can be vehicle based or on bike. First aiders must have a current, 16hrs outdoor first aid certificate.

Drivers
Thereās a lot of driving around over the 100km route; transporting participants, equipment and bags, as well as sweeping up retired participants and collecting bikes.Ā We use vans and minibuses, so volunteers must have a clean B1, B1E, D1 or D1E licence.

Photographers/Media
Participants love seeing photos, so the more we can get along the route the better! Discreet watermarks are allowed and tagged credit will be given on any images or videos shared on our social media.

Baking & Cooking
With 100 participants, plus volunteers and staff, there’s a lot of food required to keep everyone’s energy up for the day, including a hot meal at Grantown on Spey and treats at checkpoints, so if you enjoy cooking or baking then we need you!
