At Outfit Moray, we believe every young person deserves confidence, connection, skills and a sense of belonging and, for over twenty years, we’ve used outdoor learning, adventure activities and community-led programmes to help young people, especially those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged, build resilience, discover new strengths and feel supported to thrive.

Whether large or small, leaving a gift to Outfit Moray in your Will ensures young people in Moray have access to life-changing opportunities, supportive experiences and positive community connections for generations to come.

Many young people who have benefited from our activities are now adults, with inspiring stories of how their experiences with Outfit Moray shaped their lives in positive ways, including many of our previous trainee outdoor instructors.

How leaving a gift works

Including a charity in your Will might feel like a big step, but it’s simple and flexible as you can:

  • leave a specific sum of money to Outfit Moray
  • leave a percentage of your estate (known as a residuary gift)
  • gift a particular asset, such as property or investments

There’s no minimum amount and every gift makes a difference. You can balance your likely priority of providing for your loved ones first, and still help create positive futures for young people in our community.

If you already have a Will, most solicitors can add a charitable gift with a simple amendment called a codicil.

How to include Outfit Moray in your Will

When speaking to your solicitor or Will-writer, you can use wording like:

“I give [insert amount / percentage of my estate] to Outfit Moray, Shore Street, Lossiemouth, Moray IV31 6PB, Scottish Charity No. SC037127, to be used for its charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my Executors.”

Is leaving a gift in my Will tax-efficient? Yes. Gifts to charities like Outfit Moray are exempt from Inheritance Tax (IHT) and can reduce the IHT payable on your estate.

Can I remain anonymous? Absolutely. You can choose to let us know you’ve included Outfit Moray in your Will, or remain completely anonymous.
