Ticks & Lyme disease
Ticks are a real problem in our area, so please make sure you give yourself a good ‘tick check’ after you have been in the woods, moors or grass areas. If you think you have been bitten, visit your GP for advice. You can get an O’Tom tick remover from most vets and would be a very handy addition to any outdoor backpack! For more information on how to remove ticks and Lyme Disease, please follow the links below. It is important you remove a tick correctly to avoid it reguritating back into your blood system and increasing your chances of Lyme Disease.
