Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition; either themselves, a family member, friend or colleague and our NuCo First Aid for Mental Health courses provide participants with the skills to support anyone experiencing mental health challenges.
Our wide range of NuCo Training First Aid for Mental Health courses are suitable for ages 14+ and each participant receives a The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), ranging from Level 4 to 6. Simply email for more information or to book a course.
We also deliver a wide range of first aid training courses, as well as onsite manual handling courses.

First Aid for Mental Health Annual Refresher A non-regulated annual refresher course recapping the skills and knowledge learners have gained from their regulated First Aid for Mental Health qualifications. |

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health This course is suitable for everyone within a workplace as it provides learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions as well as the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost a person towards professional help. |

First Aid for Youth Mental Health This qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults. |

First Aid for Mental Health This 1-day course covers the content of the Level 1 course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace. |

Leading First Aid for Mental Health This 2-day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. |

Assessment & Certification
Each qualification is assessed through a multiple-choice question paper. Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will be awarded the relevant Award to their course, which is valid for three years from date of achievement. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.
It is strongly recommended that learners attend annual refresher training to refresh their skills and knowledge and to stay up to date with current events.
