AGM Award for Bike Revolution Chief Mechanic

At Outfit Moray’s AGM in November 2017, the inaugural ‘David Smailes Outstanding Contribution Award’ was handed out.

David Smailes sadly passed away this March and had been our Voluntary Finance Director on the Board for almost 5 years. David left a legacy to Outfit Moray in the form of a donation to use as wesaw fit, so the board decided it would be fitting to create an award in his name, to show recognition and appreciation of the commitment that individuals have towards the Charity, much like David himself.

Board and staff members were asked to nominate the person they felt most deserving of the award and there were some very strong candidates.

Claire Beckley and Tony Brown were both given special mention and thanks for their time and effort in their particular fields, with the quaich itself going to our Chief Mechanic, Stewart Evans.

Chair, Claire Alldritt says: ‘Stewart has shown incredible loyalty to Outfit for many years. He is extremely hard working and turns his hand to anything that needs to be done with many voluntary hours over and above his paid employment. He has a ‘can do’ attitude, no matter what challenges we throw his way!’

Congratulations Stewart, on your well deserved award!

Our thanks to our good friends at Elgin Youth Cafe for hosting us and the delicious snacks.
